Surviving are children, John married to Anna (Zimmerman) Campbell, Carl married to Janice (Weber) Campbell, Joyce Campbell; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren.
His siblings, Rhoda Wenger, Paul Campbell, Raymond Campbell, and Anna Mae Campbell preceded him in death.
John was self-employed as a farmer for 30 years and as a trucker for 45 years. He loved to tinker and learn how to do new things. The past several years, he spent time volunteering at the ReUzit Shop of New Holland.
Memorial services were held December 5, 2016 at New Holland Mennonite Church, New Holland, PA with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

He was born on March 21, 1933, in Rockingham County, near Dayton, and was the oldest son of the late Raymond Ercil and Sarah (Coffman) Campbell. He graduated from Eastern Mennonite High School in 1950, and did alternative service during the Korean War at Eastern State Mental Hospital in Williamsburg, Va. He was a faithful member and supporter of Weavers Mennonite Church.
He worked various jobs in farming, construction, driving a bus and hauling feed until finding his career work as the route driver for Shank Wholesalers Inc. He worked there for 31 years until forced into retirement by a heart attack in 2006.
Ersel will be remembered as a relaxed, talkative, encouraging man who usually never knew a stranger for long. His values of dependability, promptness, hard work and a quiet faith added to his character. His humorous sayings and mannerisms will be remembered by many.
Ersel is survived by his wife, Mary Frances “Francie” Martin Campbell, formerly of Stuarts Draft. They were married Oct. 19, 1963. Also surviving are a son, Jeffrey Ersel Campbell (Pam); four grandchildren, Christina, Jonathan, Joshua and Christopher Campbell, of Harrisonburg; siblings, Barbara Campbell Showalter (William “Bill”), Lewis Campbell (Phyllis), Sarah Campbell Byler, all of Harrisonburg, and Dorcas “Dee” Campbell Blair (Robert “Bob”) of Stephens City; aunt, Phoebe F. Coffman of Harrisonburg; stepaunt, Martha K.C. Weaver of Ephrata, Pa.; 14 nieces and nephews; and 28 grandnieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, James Lee Byler; grandparents, Homer and Ella Swope Coffman and H.T.B. and Mary Frances Parret Campbell.
His brother, Heber (H.C) Campbell, passed away Sept. 23, 2016.
Pastor Phil Kanagy will conduct a memorial service on Monday, Sept. 26, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Weavers Mennonite Church. The family will receive friends following the service.
Burial will be private.
Friends may call at the funeral home at any time to view and sign the register book.
The family wishes to thank all of those who have brought comfort, food, cards, flowers and many wonderful and caring thoughts about Ersel. For the special services and persons who served, we are truly grateful for these kind deeds to the family.

Miss Charles taught first grade for thirty-two years in the Penn Manor School District at Central Manor and Hambright.
Born December 6, 1927 in Manor Twp., she was the daughter of the late Amos B. and Edith S. (Haverstick) Charles. She was an active member of the Habecker's Mennonite Church, where she helped establish the library and served as librarian for many years. Her teaching career at the church began when upon her high school graduation from Millersville-Manor High School (now Penn Manor) in 1945, she began teaching the preschool class. After many years teaching the little ones, she taught the high school and college age and later moved to an older ladies class. When the church began working with the Burmese refugees, she taught them English during the Sunday School hour. She was also involved teaching Summer Bible School for numerous local Mennonite churches as well as in Northern Pennsylvania. At that time, SBS was a two-week project-ten days of teaching.
Volunteering was a big part of her life after retirement. She volunteered at the Re-Uzit Shop, Columbia, Books Abroad, Ephrata and at the Mennonite Home, Lancaster.
Ethel enjoyed music, reading, playing word games, especially Scrabble with friends. She loved to travel; her trips included Germany, Switzerland, Holland, Greece and Israel as well as a number of the States and Canada.
Surviving are two brothers; J. Harold Charles, of Landisville (formerly of Quarryville) and Amos J. Charles, of Manheim; one sister-in-law; Elva Charles as well as nineteen nieces and twenty-two nephews. She was also preceded in death by five siblings: Grace C. Landis, Florence M. Brubaker, C. Earl, Elmer H., and H. Melvin Charles; three nieces: Sarah Louise Charles, Anna Mary Charles, and Doris Weaver and two nephews: Ronald Charles and Paul Charles.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Service to be held at Landis Homes-WEST Bethany Chapel, 1001 East Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543 on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at 11AM. The family will receive friends at Landis Homes-WEST Bethany Chapel on Saturday morning between 10-11AM. Interment will be private in the Habecker's Mennonite Cemetery, Manor Twp., PA at the convenience of the family. Kindly omit flowers. He farmed for 60 years and served as a bi-vocational pastor for 34 years at Oakwood Mennonite Church, Oakwood MD. He was also a tireless helper in the community and served with Mennonite Disaster Service. Surviving are sons, Will, husband of Daleen and Marvin, husband of Sheri; and daughters, Lou Ann, wife of Leon Ressler and Julie, wife of Brent Hess. STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Miriam Jeanette (Stalter) Charles, 96, of State College, died Saturday, June 11, at her residence in Elmcroft of State College.
A longtime resident of Goshen, she had been living in State College since February 2015.
Miriam was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Elida, Ohio, to James and Bertie Swartz Stalter and was the youngest of their children. She graduated from Gomer High School in 1937 and then attended Goshen College, from which she graduated in 1941 with a degree in education.
For the next four years she taught elementary school in West Liberty, Ohio. In 1945, after taking further coursework at the Ohio State University in Columbus, she returned to Goshen College as an assistant in the registrar's office and taught part time in the education department.
In 1947, she married Howard H. Charles of Lititz, Pa., whom she had met during their student days at Goshen College. They made their home in Goshen for the next 55 years, punctuated by studies for Howard in Edinburgh (1950 to 1952) and Oxford (1965 to 1966) and teaching assignments under Mennonite Board of Missions in Japan (1961) and Ghana (1973 to 1974).
Miriam was preceded in death by Howard in 2002, an infant daughter, Ruth Ann in 1957, and her brother, Fred and sisters Rowena, Anna Mary, and Virginia.
She is survived by two sons, J. Robert Charles of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Thomas Kopp Charles (Kristine) of State College; five grandchildren, Laura Charles (Matt Wiens) of Portland, Ore., Dan Charles of San Francisco, Calif., Sophie Charles (Henry Dick) of Bloomington, Ill., Brian Charles of Goshen and Luke Charles of State College; and three great-grandchildren, Henry Wiens, Louis Wiens and Moses Charles-Dick.
She was a member of East Goshen Mennonite Church, where for many years she served as church librarian and in various other capacities.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 17, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home in Goshen. A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 18, at East Goshen Mennonite Church. A family graveside service will take place prior to the memorial service.

GOSHEN - John D. Christner, 69, passed away at his home Monday evening, June 13, after a long illness.
He was born July 23, 1946, in Goshen, to David and Caroline (Borkholder) Christner.
Survivors include two sisters, Edna Miller of Goshen and Freda (Mose) Mishler of Seymour, Mo.; and a brother, Jonas Christner, Kingman of Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Elmer and a sister, Viola.
Mr. Christner graduated from Bethany Christian High School, Goshen College and earned a master's degree from Indiana University. He taught at New Paris Elementary School for 39 years. Following retirement, he conducted a voluntary reading program at New Paris for those needing extra help.
He was a member of 8th Street Mennonite Church and volunteered at Menno Hof.
Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 16, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, where an 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, funeral service will be conducted. Pastor Brenda Sawatzky Paetkau will officiate.
Burial will follow in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.

SHIPSHEWANA - Eli M. Chupp, 87, of Shipshewana, died Sunday, Dec. 4.
He was born July 20, 1929, to Jacob and Mattie (Herschberger) Chupp.
He married Anna Weirich; she survives.
Survivors also are daughters Betty Miller, Esther Yoder, Carolyn Beechy, Loretta Otto and Linda Mast; son Eugene Chupp; 29 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; three sisters, Edna and Clara Schrock and Wilma Yoder; brothers Lewis, Edward and Omer Chupp.
He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter Elizabeth Arkeketa; daughter-in-law Roseanna Chupp; and brother Joas Chupp.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6 and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Fairhaven Mennonite Church, 13513 S.R. 4, Goshen.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8, also at the church.
Burial will be in Thomas Cemetery, Goshen.

GOSHEN - Menno Lewis Chupp, 80, passed away Sunday, Jan. 31, at Elkhart General Hospital after battling extended illnesses.
He was born Nov. 20, 1935, in Amboy, to Elmer M. and Fannie (Miller) Chupp.
On Sept. 2, 1956, he married Lucile J. Hoover at Salem Mennonite Church in New Paris.
Menno worked at several area businesses, including WCMR Radio, Miles Laboratories, Dairy Farmers of America and, most recently, at Primerica Investments.
Menno endured a difficult childhood, but came to know Jesus as his savior at a young age. He lived with an attitude of amazement about God's love for him, and would not hesitate to share that love with others. This led him to support many ministries over the years, and even make a trip to smuggle Bibles into China. Even in his last years, as his body became weary, his spirit continued to grow strong in the Lord.
Menno had a zest for life, an intense desire to learn and an enthusiasm for wherever he put his energies and interests. He was a committed member of several church fellowships, including Benton Mennonite Church, Zion Chapel and Voice Ministries. He never knew a stranger and always had a kind word to say to everyone he met. As Menno grew older, God gave him a tender heart for children, and he made sure every child who crossed his path knew how precious they were in the eyes of their Heavenly Father. The friends he made from so many areas of his life will miss him dearly.
As his children and grandchildren grew into adulthood and began lives of their own, he wholeheartedly supported each one and believed in their endeavors. He was a proud father and grandfather, and could frequently be heard bragging on his children or grandchildren's work, education, travel and accomplishments.
Surviving Menno are his wife, Lucile of Goshen; sons Ronald M. (Lori) Chupp of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Kenneth W. (Diane) Chupp of Osceola, James L. (Susan) of Caddo Mills, Texas, David R. (Heidi) Chupp of Forney, Texas, and Douglas B. (Cindy) Chupp of Millersburg; daughters Brenda R. (Paul) Bertha of Elkhart and Teresa M. Chupp of Wills Point, Texas; 16 grandchildren, Randi Chupp, Andrew Chupp, Karen (Tim) Courliss, Kevin (Jessica) Chupp, Kelli Chupp, Hannah Chupp, Peter Chupp, Bethany (Trent) Lockhart, Elise Chupp, Ariel (Taylor) Wogoman, Cally Chupp, Rachael Hall, Janae Hall, Nicholas Johnson, Gabrielle Bertha and Devlin Bertha; five great-grandchildren, Vivienna and Abriella Courliss, Carsten and Abbigail Lockhart, and Michael Howard; a sister, Edna Mae (Chupp) Humes of Atwood, Ill.; a brother, Alvin (Carole) Chupp of Dallas Center, Iowa; a half brother, Andy (Anna) Miller of Lebanon, Mo; and a half sister, Lizzie Ann (Floyd) Kauffman of Arcola, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Joe Miller; a half brother, Ervin Kauffman; and stepbrothers Reuben Miller, Alva Miller and Perry Miller.
The family will receive relatives and friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 5, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home, 1911 S. Main St., Goshen. A service celebrating Menno's life will be at 11 a.m. at the same location. The Rev. Chris Howell, Zion Community Church, the Rev. Ed Wilsberg with the Center for Hospice Care, and the Rev. Ken Chupp, Warsaw Missionary Church, will officiate.
Internment will follow in Yellow Creek Mennonite Church Cemetery in Goshen.

NAPPANEE - Sarah I. Chupp, 95, of 9769 W. 1200 N., passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side at 7:28 a.m. Sunday, May 8, at her residence after a short illness.
She was born Jan. 15, 1921, in Elkhart County, to Isaac A. and Suvella (Miller) Miller. She lived her lifetime in this area. On Dec. 30, 1948, she married Joseph J. Chupp . He preceded her in death July 9, 1983. Mrs. Chupp was a homemaker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are her daughters, Mary Jane Miller of Bourbon, JoAnn (Karl E.) Miller, Nancy Sue (Larry Joe ) Schwartz and Laura Jean Chupp, all of Nappanee, and Salena Fern (Darrell) Yoder, Chouteau, Okla.; sons, William J. (Candi) Chupp of Liburn, Ga., and Alan Ray (Tammy) Chupp of Bristol; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and sister Laura Miller of Middlebury.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; son-in-law, Dale W. Miller; brother and sister-in-law, Eli and Lovina Miller; and sisters, Lizzie Ann Chupp and Emma Wagler.

She was born May 22, 1923 at Salford, Montgomery Co., PA to Abram and Sophia (Lewis) Moyer. Abram was born November 29, 1899 and died March 12, 1989. Sophia was born July 1, 1902 and died June 25, 1996.
On August 12, 1989 at Souderton, Montgomery Co., PA she was married to Alfred H. Claassen, who was born February 2, 1925 and survives. She was previously married to Stewart Moyer in November 1948; Stewart died after 36 years of marriage in 1985.
Surviving are three daughters, Janelle (husband David Zigon); Sharon Claassen (husband Robert Still); and Carol Friesen (husband Vern Friesen); one son, David Claassen (wife Sharon); eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a sister, Pauline Musselman of Souderton, PA.
A sister, Ruth Moyer preceded her in death.
She volunteered with MCC/Ten Thousand Villages, the quilt room of MRC, at Ephrata Community Hospital, and was active in Akron Mennonite Church.

MIDDLEBURY - Daniel N. Coblentz, 92, of Middlebury died Monday, July 4.
He was born Dec. 20, 1923, to Noah J. and Lydiann (Schlabach) Coblentz.
He married Elsie J. Miller; she survives.
Survivors also are daughters Ruth Bontreger, Betty Miller, Lydia Chupp, Jean Lambright, and Miriam Lambright; sons Joseph, John, Daniel Jr. and Stephen Coblentz; 79 grandchildren; 192 great-grandchildren; brothers Earl, Joe and John Henry Coblentz; sisters Emma Miller, Nettie Coblentz and Amanda Lehman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers; and four sisters.
Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Tuesday and all day Wednesday at Willis Miller residence, 11755 W. 450 N., Middlebury. Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Urie R. Miller residence, 11465 W. 450 N., Middlebury. Burial will be in New Pennsylvania Cemetery, Middlebury.

MIDDLEBURY — Elsie J. Coblentz, 87, of Middlebury, died Wednesday, Aug. 10.
She was born June 3, 1929, to Joe M. and Lydia (Kurtz) Miller.
She married Daniel N. Coblentz. He died July 4, 2016.
Surviving are daughters Ruth Bontreger, Betty Miller, Lydia Chupp, Jean and Miriam (Daniel) Lambright; sons Joseph, John, Daniel Jr. and Stephen Coblentz; 79 grandchildren; 193 great-grandchildren; sisters Verna Stutzman and Emma Miller; brothers Atlee, Dan, Melvin, Ben and John Miller.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a sister; and two brothers.

She was born Nov. 19, 1927, in Criders, and was the oldest of 13 children of the late Lewis H. and Mary Thomas Yankey.
Charlotte graduated from Broadway High School in 1944. She attended Eastern Mennonite University, Virginia Tech and James Madison University, earning various certifications.
She worked for Rockingham County Public Schools in the cafeterias at Bergton Elementary and Broadway High schools for 35 years before retiring. She was a member of Valley View Mennonite Church in Criders since the age of 13. She was a 4-H Girls Leader for 32 years. She had worked at Girl Scout Camp May Flather and Highland Retreat. She was a charter member of Criders Home Demonstration Club, and was highly devoted to all the community organizations she was involved in.
On June 16, 1946, she married Laco Rudolph Crider, who preceded her in death June 18, 1982.
Surviving are three daughters, Carolyn Mauck and husband, Bobby, of Woodstock, Gloria Stump and husband, Steve, of Waynesboro, and Donna Slater and husband, Danny, of Fulks Run; one foster son, Ronnie Mongold of Bridgewater; longtime companion, Stanly Miller; siblings, Jean Estep, Carroll Yankey, Shirley Kuykendall, Lennis Dove, Richard “Dick” Yankey, Harold “Squirm” Yankey, Bernice Keplinger, Sharon Lantz, Linda Stultz and Brenda Yankey; foster siblings, Kerlyn Farmer and Sandra Tutwiler; grandchildren, Bryan Mauck, Melinda Artz, Monica Scruggs, Tammy Rowzie, Natasha Miller, Anthony Slater, Crystal Slater and Brent Slater; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
Her stepmother, Ressie Yankey; two brothers, Donald “Donnie” Yankey and Robert “Bob” Yankey; and stepgreat-grandson, Seth Scruggs, preceded her in death.

GOSHEN - Lester I. Culp, 97, passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, at Greencroft Healthcare.
He was born Sept. 19, 1918, in Tiskiwa, Ill., to Emanuel I. and Cora (Smucker) Culp.
On June 16, 1945, he married Inez Oberholzer.
She survives along with three children, Joetta (Kenneth) Strickler of Patterson, Calif., Charles (Mary) Culp of Des Moines, Iowa and John (Pam) Culp of Goshen; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Culp of Hesston, Kan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Millard Culp and a sister, Maurine Hess.
From 1942 to 1946, he did his Civilian Public Service in Clear Spring, Md.
A longtime Goshen resident, Mr. Culp earned both his bachelor and master's degrees from University of Illinois and a second master's degree from Case Western, Ohio. He taught at Hesston College, Kansas, and from 1954 to 1987 at Bethany Christian High School. He was a charter member of Waterford Mennonite Church, Gideon's International and the National Audubon Society.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home and again from 10:30 until the 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 11, memorial service at Waterford Mennonite Church.
A private family burial will take place in Violett Cemetery.

Joyce S. Deiter, 50, of Mifflintown, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, at the Heart of Lancaster Hospital, Lititz. She was wife of Jay Paul Deiter.
Born in Lancaster on February 22, 1966, she was the daughter of Lester M. and Arlene M. Sensenig Hursh of Mt. Joy. She was a member of the Providence Mennonite Church, Grantville.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters Marilyn H. wife of Brian L. Weaver of Mifflintown, Melissa H. Deiter and Monica H. Deiter both at home; brothers Lamar (Beulah Horning) Hursh of McAlisterville, Leonard (Anna Harder) Hursh of Mt. Joy, Wilmer (Arla Kropf) Hursh of Chewelah, WA, Wayne (Connie Weaver) Hursh of Ukraine, and Eugene (Janette Birky) Hursh of Harrisburg, OR; sisters Janet wife of Gerald Champ of Scurry, TX, Joann Detweiler wife of the late Gerald Detweiler of Palmyra, Jolene wife of Douglas Martin of Columbia, and Judy wife of Barry Strite of Xenia, IL; grandchildren Wynston, Whitnee, and Destinee Weaver.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 31, 2016, at 10 a.m. at Swatara Mennonite Church, 10 Camp Swatara Rd., Myerstown. A viewing will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the church. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
He was born in Lampeter, Pennsylvania on March 4, 1930 to the late Anna Mary Denlinger and Paul Milton Denlinger. He volunteered at the Fox Street Mission in New York City, where he met Magdalena Denlinger.
After their marriage on July 31, 1955, together they served five years in the work there. Eventually, they made a home in Hartville, where they raised eight children. He was a faithful member of Hartville Conservative Mennonite Church. He blessed many with his gifts of humor, music, and hospitality.
He is survived by his eight children: Marcia (David) Miller of Seymour, MO; Rose (Harold) Miller of Hartville; Marjorie Denlinger of Hartville; Steven (Laura) Denlinger of Vashon, WA; David (Jan) Denlinger of North Canton, OH; Tim (Lori) Denlinger of Myerstown, PA; Richard (Tina) Denlinger of Hartville; and Heidi (Adin) Stoltzfoos of Burgettstown, PA. He is also survived by seven sisters: Betty Denlinger; Martha (Clayton) Nissley; Edna (the late Clyde) Weaver; Lois (Wes) Boyer; Cathy Denlinger Bock; Paulette (Bob) Campbell; Janet (Bill) Robinson. Finally, there are 34 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren who lay claim to their patriarch's affection. Preceding him in death are his wife of 58 years, Magdalena; and son-in-law, Harold Miller.

A homemaker, Elverta had also worked in the gift shop at Plain & Fancy and later for J&M Catering. She and Roy were distributors of home care products for many years. She was a long time member of the Paradise Mennonite Church, where she was active with the sewing circle. Elverta volunteered at The Re-Uzit Shop, New Holland. She loved her family, and made many quilts and needlepoint gifts for her family and close friends.
Born in Gordonville, Elverta was the daughter of the late Irwin L. and Mary (Wenger) Groff.
She is survived by a son, Ron married to Joan (Weaver) Denlinger of Lancaster; two daughters, Donna married to Wilson Hershey of Lancaster and Cynthia Mast of Parkesburg; ten grandchildren and three great-grandsons. Elverta was preceded in death by a son, Roy Laverne; a grandson, Ryan K. Denlinger, and two brothers, Lester Groff and Melvin Groff.

Born February 5, 1931 in Danville, he was the son of the late Cyrus and Dorothy (Michler) Derr. Clark was a member of the Peace River Mennonite Church, Arcadia, FL and attended Simmontown Mennonite Church, Gap.
Surviving are three children; Audrey married to David Miller, of Manheim, Belinda married to Marlin Bashore, of Port Allegheny, NY and Dolores Miller, of East Petersburg; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and a sister. He was also preceded in death by a daughter; Christine (1991) and several siblings.

E. Kathryn "Kass" (Yoder) Detweiler, 86, of Boyertown, PA; formerly of Perkasie, PA went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 at her residence.
She was the loving wife of the late Alvin F. Detweiler for 57 years. Kass was born in Blooming Glen, PA to the late Wilmer R. & K. Florence (Keller) Yoder.
Prior to marriage, she worked as a Product Examiner for Ridge Hosiery in Quakertown, PA. Kass was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a member of Boyertown Mennonite Church.
Kass assisted her husband, the former pastor, of Boyertown Mennonite Church and Allentown Mennonite Church. She also worked with her husband as Camp Director at Men-O-Lan, Quakertown and Spruce Lake Wilderness Camp in Canadensis, over a period of 35 years.
Kass was a spiritual leader and prayer warrior and was dedicated to praying for her families, friends and others. She had a witty sense of humor and had many “one-liners” that kept you laughing. Kass was a very caring, compassionate lady who had an unconditional love for everybody.
She is survived by six daughters, Twila Nazario & husband, Jorge of Exeter, PA, Leona Kolb & husband, Dave of Gillett, PA, Aleta Kulp & husband, Glen of Lewes, DE, Carol Smith of Telford, PA, Karla Moonsammy & husband, Trevor of Morrisville, PA, Krista Detweiler & companion, Derek of Pottstown, PA; four sons, Steve Detweiler & wife, Jill of Royersford, PA, Douglas Detweiler of McVeightown, PA, Kenton Detweiler of Maui, HI, Marc Detweiler & wife, Jody of Green Lane, PA; 36 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren and a sister, Ruth Hackman of Souderton, PA.
In addition to her parents and husband, Kass was preceded in death by a son, Philip Detweiler.

Gerald ”Jerry” R. Detweiler, 67, of Kintnersville, PA died on Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at the Hospital of the University of PA.
He was the loving husband of Karen (Blumrick) Detweiler for 24 years. Jerry was born in Sellersville, PA to the late Alvin T. Detweiler and Anna (Rosenberger) Detweiler of Souderton PA. He was a devoted father, son, brother and will be missed by all who knew him.
A graduate of Central Bucks High School, class of 1967.
A life member of the Deep Run Mennonite Church East where he served as a greeter, custodian and on the fellowship committee.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four daughters, JoAnna, Joy, Rose and Rita;
a brother Ronald (Cindy) and sister, Carol (Bud) Gross.
Jerry served his community as a volunteer EMT for 4 decades and was a life member of Point Pleasant-Plumsteadville EMS. Nothing made him happier than to tinker with tractors and work outside. He was a quiet man who did more thinking than talking.

Raymond W. Detweiler, 88, of Blooming Glen, PA, died peacefully on Fri., Oct. 14th at LifeQuest Nursing Center in Quakertown. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 63 years, Grace (Swartley) Detweiler, who passed away in 2015.
He was born Dec. 28, 1927 on the Detweiler Homestead in Bedminster Twp. He was one of twelve children born to the late Clayton R. and Alice (Wismer) Detweiler.
As a young man, he worked for Paul Kriebel. He also worked for Dublin Feedmill, Souderton Farm Bureau, and Davis Feed Mill in Perkasie. After he retired he had his own lawn mowing business. He enjoyed spending time with his family and he and his boys loved to ride bikes together.
Raymond was a member of Deep Run Mennonite Church East.
He is survived by his sons, Laverne L. Detweiler and Dean A. Detweiler; brothers Arthur, Elmer, and Chester Detweiler; and sisters Cora Longacre and MariAn Nyce. He was preceded in death by his brothers Lloyd, Warren, Claude, and Clayton Detweiler and his sisters Ella Mae Landis and Ruth Gahman.
Services will be held 7:00pm at Deep Run Mennonite Church East, 350 Kellers Church Rd., Perkasie on Thurs. Oct. 20th. A calling hour will precede the service from 6:00-7:00pm at the church. Interment at the church cemetery.

GOSHEN - Clara Eleanor Dintaman, 84, of Goshen, died Friday, June 3, at her Greencroft apartment.
She had been in failing health the past seven months.
She was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Akron, N.Y., to Richard and Louise (Ulrich) Wideman.
On June 2, 1962, she married Walter Dintaman in Elkhart. He died Nov. 10, 2010.
Clara is survived by two daughters, Linda (James) Martin of Apex, N.C., and Lisa (Gregg) Skinner of The Woodlands, Texas; four grandchildren; and a sister, Arlene (Leighton) Snyder of Akron.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Leona Troyer, and a brother, Leon Wideman.
Clara was a graduate of Goshen College and earned a master’s of education from Indiana University. She was an elementary school teacher and a private tutor prior to retirement.
As a member of North Goshen Mennonite Church, she taught children’s and adult Sunday school for many years. She also served on the grounds and landscape committee both at the church and later at Manor IV on the Goshen Greencroft campus.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 6, at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home. An 11 a.m. memorial service will be conducted Tuesday, June 7, at North Goshen Mennonite Church. The Rev. Mark Schloneger will officiate.

Saloma N. Eash, age 86, of Topeka, IN passed away Saturday morning June 18, 2016 at home. She was born on May 22, 1930 the daughter of Noah T. and Katie J. (Yoder) Eash in LaGrange County, IN. Saloma had worked as a housekeeper for many years and also at ARC in LaGrange, IN. She was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Saloma is survived by 3 siblings, Levi (Rosie) Eash of Topeka, IN, Katie (Elmer) Miller of LaGrange, IN, and John Eash of Raymondville, MO; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. MIDDLEBURY - Susan Eash, 93, of Middlebury, died Wednesday, Oct. 12.
She was born April 21, 1923, to Edward and Annie (Gingerich) Yoder.
She married Linus E. Eash; he died March 14, 2002.
Surviving are her children, Carolyn (Howard) Miller, Alta (John) Shrock, Dave (Beverly) Eash and Linda (Austin) Miller; a sister, Martha Kauffman; and 13 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a stillborn son, Vernon Dale Eash; six sisters; and two brothers.
She enjoyed writing poems and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

ORRVILLE - Mary Catherine (Imhoff) Eberly, 89, of Orrville, passed away Saturday morning, July 23, 2016, at her home after declining health the past number of months.
She was born in West Salem on May 23, 1927 to the late Franklin and Martha (Weaver) Imhoff and married Lloyd B. Eberly on Aug. 6, 1954. He died Aug. 4, 2010.
She accepted Christ in her youth and was a member of Valley View Church at the time of her death.
Surviving are children, Clifford and Lydia Eberly of Barwick, Ontario, Canada, Eugene and Ann Eberly of Louisburg, Mo., Wayne and Marcia Eberly of Goshen, Ind., Mark and Sandra Eberly of Claypool, Ind., Martha and Sarah Eberly of the home, and Roy and Rachel Eberly of Dalton; 10 grandchildren; 19 step-grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 38 step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; a stepdaughter in 1948; sons, Franklin in 1992 and Elmer in 1984; a grandson; a great-granddaughter; a step-great-granddaughter; brothers, Clarence and Walter Imhoff; and sisters, Bertha Imhoff and Ruth (Mrs. Ernest Martin).

He was born June 9, 1921 at Sterling to Roy Henry and Ruth (Nice) Ebersole. Roy was born February 26, 1892 and died November 11, 1967. Ruth died November 22, 1933.
On June 18, 2000 at Sterling he was married to Joyce Helen VanHorne, who was born May 1, 1930 and died January 11, 2012.

Raymond was a member of Hernley Mennonite Church in Manheim and attended Covenant Fellowship in Lititz for many years. He was a life-long dairy farmer in Penn Twp. and was also employed by Manheim Auto Auction as a lane manager for more than 30 years. He also worked part time at Conestoga Auction in Manheim and provided automobile transport for George Poulas in Philadelphia. Raymond also was a Conklin products representative for a time. He enjoyed hunting game on his farm.
He is survived by six children, Deborah E., wife of the late John J. Risser, of Hershey, R. Daryl Ebersole of Manheim, Donna K., wife of Jay R. Campbell, of Manheim, Doris J., wife of Jeffrey C. DeHart, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, Denise L. Snyder, wife of Dennis L. Kerstetter, of Elizabethtown, and Douglas L., husband of Beth N. Weaver Ebersole, of Manheim; eight grandchildren, Emily, wife of Matthew Lehman, Jay Campbell, Jr., Jennifer MacDonald, Jacob Risser, Jonathan Risser, Alexandria Kerstetter, Dalton Kerstetter, and Jared Ebersole; and a brother-in-law, Russell, husband of Dorothy Strite, of Gettysburg. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle DeHart, and a sister, Fannie Louise Strite.

Scott was a Dairy Equipment Technician for E and S Pulsator and Vacuum Repair of New Holland. He attended Cambridge Mennonite Church and enjoyed driving for many of his Amish friends.
Besides his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Randy and Tommy; three sisters, Doris, Donna and Gloria. He was preceded in death by two infant brothers.

Mrs. Eby was born Jan. 27, 1941, in Tanzania (East Africa) and was the daughter of the late J. Clyde and Alta Rebecca (Barge) Shenk, pioneer East Africa Mennonite Missionaries. Anna Kathryn graduated from Eastern Mennonite College in 1962. Along with her husband, Anna Kathryn served as a volunteer in East Africa. She later graduated from James Madison University with a master's degree in education. She worked for the Rockingham County School System as an elementary school teacher for many years prior to her retirement. Mrs. Eby was a longtime member of Weavers Mennonite Church, and more recently a member of the Park View Mennonite Church.
On Aug. 24, 1962, she married Omar Elias Eby who survives.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Eby is survived by her children, Katrina Yoder (Michael) of New York, N.Y.; Maria Lahman (Brent) of Greeley, Colo.; Lawrence Eby (Melanie) of Harrisonburg; brothers, David Shenk, John Shenk and Daniel Shenk; grandchildren, Lauren Mica Yoder, Noa Kathryn Yoder, Makayla Dawn Eby, Joshua Omar Eby, Martin Byard Lahman and Anna Catherine "Kate" Lahman. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Shenk.
A memorial service will be held Monday, April 4, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Park View Mennonite Church with Pastor Phil Kniss officiating. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Burial will be held privately. At Mrs. Eby's request, her body was cremated.

Ediger, George Edward, 96, of Inman, McPherson Co., KS died November 8, 2016 at the same place. He was born July 30, 1920 at Inman, KS to H. P. and Katie (Neufeld) Ediger. On June 8, 1943 at Hillsboro, KS he was married to Rubena Foth, who was born July 19, 1921 and died October 19, 2007.
Surviving are two sons, Dennis and Sonja; and Steve and Vivian; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Walter and Tina Ediger; and Eldon and Dot Ediger.

He was born November 16, 1932 at Inman, KS to Gerhard P. and Katie Regehr (Pauls) Ediger. On April 16, 1954 at Buhler, Reno Co., KS he was married to Shirley L. Regier, who was born August 17, 1934 and died May 13, 2012.
Surviving are children, Kay Schmidt; Randy and Janie Ediger; and Russell Ediger; 12 grandchildren, 17-grandchildren; a brother, George and Margaret Ediger; and four sisters, Anna Plett; Mary Barg; Kathryn Becker; and Hilda Schierling.

Adam was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Reiff and Edith Sensenig.
Adam began his ministry in Atmore, Alabama, serving with the We Care Prison Ministry. Later he served under Eastern Mennonite Missions in Belize. He attended Kitchener Bible Institute, Kitchener, ON, and served as a church planter and pastor in the Lancaster Mennonite Conference at the Bible Fellowship Center, New Haven, Ct., Lebanon Christian Fellowship, Lebanon, Pa., and New Life Fellowship, Ephrata, Pa. In addition, he was interim pastor at Ashton Mennonite Church, Sarasota, Fl., and Delaware Mennonite Church, Thompsontown, Pa., and Assistant Pastor at Cedar Lane Chapel, East Earl, Pa.
He was a member of New Life Fellowship, Ephrata, The Retired Minister's Association, the Antique Classic Car Club, and a charter member of the Buccaneer Hunting Camp.
Before going into fulltime ministry Adam was a dairy farmer at New Holland. He also was a salesman at L.J. Denlinger, Paradise, and factory rep for Heritage Custom Kitchens, New Holland. Adam's enjoyment came from golfing, hunting, fishing, antique cars and volunteering at the Re-Uzit Shop of New Holland, but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his family.
Family will receive friends for a viewing on Sunday, June 12, 2016, from 6-8 PM at Wheat Ridge Chapel, Fairmount Homes, Ephrata. A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 13, 2016, 11:00 AM at New Life Fellowship, 410 E. Fulton St, Ephrata with a visitation from 10-11 with Pastors Kevin Horning and Rodney Martin officiating. Burial will be private.

He was the husband of Anna Mae Huyard Esh, who survives him and with whom he shared 64 years of marriage. Born 1929, he was the son of the late Amos and Annie Smoker Esh.
Elias, a charter member of Ridgeview Mennonite Church, owned and operated Esh's Archery Shop for 25 years, and in retirement worked at the Manheim Auto Auction.
He enjoyed hunting, golfing and spending time at his mountain cabin, and was a Phillies fan through thick and thin. For his children and grandchildren he was always supportive and always available.
His four children include Sylvan (Melissa Hill), Madison, WI; Calvin (Janet Lind), Strasburg; Linda Hershey (Nathan), Smoketown; and Julie Yoder (J. Dwight), Manheim.
He was blessed with nine grandchildren: Zander and Niko Esh; Isaac Esh; Mitchell, Juliana and Olya Hershey; and Megan, Zachary and Katie Yoder.
Elias is survived by four siblings: Sarah King (John), Jonathan (Mary), Rachel Stoltzfus (the late Reuben), and Naomi Zook (Paul). He was pre-deceased by his brother Samuel (Naomi) and sisters Barbara Beiler (Jonathan) and Annie.
A viewing and time to greet the family will be held Sunday, January 10, 2016 -2:00-4:00pm and 6:00-8:00pm at Ridgeview Mennonite Church. Private interment will be at Ridgeview Mennonite Cemetery. An additional time of greeting will be held Monday, January 11, 10:00am, and a memorial service will follow at 11:00 am at Ridgeview Mennonite Church, 3723 Ridge Rd., Gordonville, PA.

GOSHEN - Rachel S. Fisher, 95, passed away Saturday, April 9, at IU Health Goshen Hospital.
She was born Sept. 15, 1920, in Hesston, Kan., to Herman and Esther (Rodgers) Swartzendruber.
She married Robert D. Fisher on Jan. 3, 1942, at the home of her parents in Wellman, Iowa. They were privileged to have 69 years together. He preceded her in death Jan. 26, 2011, along with her parents, a son, Lowell, and three brothers, Wallace, Willard, and Don Swartzendruber.
She is survived by a son, David (Joy) Fisher of Grottoes, Va.; two daughters, Julie (Ray) Profeto of Goshen, and Suzette (Leonard) Prokopin of Moreno Valley, Calif.; four grandsons, Anthony (Ammie) Fisher, Jordan (Kim) Fisher, Silas (Kate) Fisher, and Matthew Fisher; four great-grandchildren, Storme Carrol, John, Elizabeth and Theodore Fisher; a brother, Leo (Shirley) Swartzendruber of Grand Junction, Colo.; and a sister, Geneva (Glenn) Stoltzfus of Goshen.
Rachel and Robert volunteered with Mennonite Central Committee in Europe from 1942 to 1948.
After returning from Europe, Rachel and Robert moved to the farm near Iowa City, Iowa where their four children were born. In 1958, they moved to Scottdale, Pa., to work for Mennonite Publishing House.
She graduated from Hesston Academy, Kan., in 1937 and Hesston Junior College in 1939. She also attended Goshen College and Associated Mennonite Biblical Seminary, Elkhart.
Rachel served the Mennonite Church for 30 years in many different capacities. A member of College Mennonite Church, she was called to be their first woman pastor, serving for 11 years, retiring in 1986.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Gathering Room at College Mennonite Church. A 2 p.m. Sunday, April 17, memorial service will be at the church.
A private burial will take place in Elkhart Prairie Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the College Mennonite Church Jubilee Fund.

Fisher, Rachel Swartzendruber, 95, of Goshen, Elkhart Co., IN died April 9, 2016 at the same place. She was born September 15, 1920 at Hesston, Harvey Co., KS to Herman and Esther (Rodgers) Swartzendruber. On January 3, 1942 at Wellman, IA she was married to Robert D. GOSHEN - Sarah Fisher, 90, of Goshen, passed away Tuesday, May 24, at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born March 11, 1926, in Millersburg, Ohio, to Daniel and Lydia (Miller) Schrock.
On Nov. 5, 1950, she married Amos K. Fisher at Clinton Frame Mennonite Church. He died April 19, 2000.
Survivors include three daughters, Debra (Chip) Sweetser and Ruth (Malcolm) Webber, both of Goshen and Mary (Allen) Mishler of Greenville, S.C.; a son, Jim E. (Kerri) Fisher of Goshen; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Anne Smith and Amanda Christner, both of Goshen.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Natasha Webber; a daughter-in-law, Margaret (Martin) Fisher; five brothers, John, Abe, Levi, Danny and Albert Schrock; and two sisters, Ella Yutzy and Elizabeth Solloway.
Sarah was an active 66-year member of Clinton Frame Church, serving as church librarian, helping with custodial duties and involved in the sewing and quilting groups.
She worked as a cook in the cafeterias at Millersburg Elementary School and Fairfield High School.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 27, at Clinton Frame Church where an 11 a.m. memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, May 28. Pastor Matt Yoder will officiate.
A private burial will take place in Clinton Union Cemetery, Goshen.

The Soul in The Faith that we came to know and love as Sister Diana Jean Flory, has left her earthly body to join our Lord in His Kingdom, as His plan for her here has been completed.
She passed from this world at LGH on Tuesday, March 1, 2016 after a four week illness.
Diana was a member of the Reformed Mennonite Church. Her influence here to all who were touched took many forms as she walked her path here; all the while carrying a painful, sickly body. Yet she always had a forgiving, loving child of God attitude. She moves on as a wife, best friend, Mother, partner and companion.
She was a homemaker and previously worked as a licensed CNA.
Born in Harrisburg, Diana was the daughter of the late Leon R. Young and Arlene "Nancy" (Noey) Durham. In addition to her husband Barry L. Flory, she is survived by five children, James Michael Flory, Aimee Michelle Flory, Sharon Lee Winger, Daniel Robert Butz and Rebecca Ann Hart; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Deborah Patschke and Cindy Smith and a brother, John Young.
There will be a viewing on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 11:00 AM until 12 Noon in Longeneckers Reformed Mennonite Church, 604 Strasburg Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602. The funeral is 12 Noon in the church with Kenneth Kilgore and Samuel Eshelman officiating. Interment will follow in the adjoining cemetery.

Glenda Cleo Unruh Franklin moved from earth to heaven on Thursday, May 19, 2016 at age 102. She was a resident at Schowalter Villa in Hesston, Kansas. Glenda was born March 16, 1914, the oldest of five children, near Pawnee Rock, Kansas.
Glenda experienced a calling to be teacher when she was a student in the sixth grade. After graduating from Pawnee Rock High School in 1932, Glenda worked long hours for a family as a housekeeper and cook to earn and save money so that she could pursue her calling to be a teacher. She attended Bethel College,
North Newton, Kansas, for two years in the mid-thirties and earned the credentials to begin her career as a teacher, thus fulfilling her childhood dream.
Years later, Glenda completed requirements for a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education Degree at Fort Hays State University, Hays, Kansas. Many students benefited from Glenda’s passion for, and delight in teaching, whether it was in Sunday school, Bible School, or in public schools. Early in her career, she was the sole teacher in a one room schoolhouse near Pawnee Rock named Prairie Home School. Subsequently, Glenda taught the first three grades and served as principal at Radium, Kansas, before settling into her first grade classroom in Pawnee Rock. She enjoyed tutoring in her home after she retired. First graders were her love. Teaching reading was her passion.
Glenda married Jesse L. Franklin at Bergthal Mennonite Church, Pawnee Rock, Kansas, on May 24, 1939. At that time, she was the sole teacher at Prairie Home School, near Pawnee Rock. A school board member introduced Jess Franklin, then a bachelor living on a farm near the school, to Glenda at a school event. They married after a courtship of several months. Glenda was a true helpmate to her husband Jess. During many wheat harvests on their Prairie Home Farm near Pawnee Rock, she drove the truck and delivered delicious meals, including cold ice cream malts, to the field. Her daughters, their husbands and their children enjoyed participating in the adventures of wheat harvest during the 1970’s.
Glenda and her husband Jess moved off the farm to Great Bend in the early 1980’s. Jess died in 1986. Glenda continued to live in Great Bend for 10 years, then moved into the Schowalter Villa community in Hesston during the month of May, 1996, and lived at 455 Neufeld Drive, independently, until after she reached the age of 100 in 2014.
Glenda was an excellent seamstress and quilter, and an avid wheat weaver. During her latter years, she knitted hundreds of blue washcloths, donating them to MCC for sale at various locations throughout the country. Glenda supported mission work, particularly in Pakistan, India and Haiti.
Glenda sought God’s will throughout her life, and God richly blessed all of Glenda’s work.
During recent years, Glenda often requested a ride in the countryside so that she could see the wheat fields or a beautiful sunset and enjoy the stillness of “not a leaf blowing”. She was a true woman of the plains of Kansas.
Preceding Glenda in death were her parents, Harry and Lena Unruh, her sisters Avis and Allene, her brother Raymond, her beloved husband Jesse, and two granddaughters, Kristy Frederick Swanson and Sonja Rene Epp.
Survivors include her youngest sister, Lorrayne Pankratz (Norman) of Hesston, KS; two daughters, Jeanette D. Frederick (Richard) of Bryant, AR, and Ruth V. Epp (Gerry) of Hesston, KS; three grandchildren: Lisa Epp Morris (John) of Austin, Texas; Ann Frederick Pierson (Rob) of Scottsdale, AZ; Matthew Frederick (Hope) of Maumelle, AR; four great granddaughters: Margo Frederick of Maumelle, AR, Gabriella, Mallory and Kristy Pierson of Scottsdale, AZ; four great grandsons, Andrew Swanson Frederick (Amanda) of Benton, AR, Conner Frederick of Bryant, AR, Gus and Jackson Morris of Austin, TX; and three great great grandchildren, Madison, Kelsie and Ethan of Benton, AR, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.

He was born September 14, 1925 in Franconia Twp., Montgomery Co., PA to Russell N. and Annie (Landis) Freed. Russell was born in 1899 and died in 1979. Annie was born February 13, 1901 and died July 21, 1984.
On November 10, 1945 at Elroy, Montgomery Co., PA he was married to Dorothy F. Hagey, who was born June 28, 1925 and died August 11, 2011.
Surviving are a son, Arlin H. Freed and his wife Nancy of Souderton, PA; three grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a sister-in-law, Valeria Freed.
His children, Harold, Mary Ann, James, Jane, Richard and Donald Freed, a brother, Robert Freed and a sister, Verna Allebach, preceded him in death.

In addition to his parents, Kendyn is survived by 3 brothers, Kendall Dean, Ladell Trent, and Jordan Scott, and a sister, Janessa LaRose, all at home; paternal grandparents, John H. and Nancy (Martin) Frey of Annville; maternal grandparents, Allen W. and Esther (Oberholtzer) Zeiset, Fetterville; paternal great-grandparents, Ion and Emma (Zimmerman) Frey Weber of Leola; and maternal great-grandparents, David and Lucy (Horst) Oberholtzer of Lititz.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2016, at the Fairview Mennonite Church Cemetery, Myerstown, with Ministers Frank Horning and Jay Zimmerman officiating.

Frey, Rodger Abram, 88, of Spring Grove, PA., Friday, March 18, 2016, at his home with his loving family by his side on the evening of his 66th wedding anniversary. He was the husband of Mildred A. (Ebersole) Frey, with whom he shared 66 years of marriage.
Born July 31, 1927, in Hanover, he was the son of the late Allen L. and Effie I. (Keagy) Frey.
Rodger was a lifelong, self-employed farmer. He was a member of Bair's-Hostetters Mennonite Church, Hanover.
In addition to his wife, Mildred, Rodger is survived by his daughters, Jean Miller and husband, Paul of Spring Grove, Joyce Martin and husband, Allen of Shippensburg, Joan Hofer and husband, Samuel of Sebree, Ky., and Jerlene Miller and husband, Verlon of Athens, Tenn.; 28 grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; and one son-in-law, Luke Wadel. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith Wadel, and a brother, Wilmer Frey.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at Bair's-Hostetter's Mennonite Church, 6925 York Road, Hanover. Visitations and time to share memories with the family will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 21, 2016, at the Kenworthy Funeral Home, Inc., 269 Frederick St., Hanover, and from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2016, at the church. Burial will be in York Road Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the Hospice Program of the VNA of Hanover & Spring Grove for their compassionate care of daddy.

Surviving are children, Paul S. (Bonnie) Friesen; Laura J. Friesen (Daniel Strain); and Julia Y. Friesen (William Morency); eight grandchildren, a sister, Esther M. Smoker; and a brother, Marvin M. Friesen.
His siblings, Pete M. Friesen; Margaret M. Wiens; Daniel M. Friesen; and Elda M. Plank preceded him in death.
Memorial services were held April 3, 2016 at College Mennonite Church, Goshen, IN with burial in the adjoining cemetery.

GOSHEN — Mildred Friesen, 95, died Friday, July 29, at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born to Henry and Matilda (Wagner) Garber Oct. 15, 1920 in Eureka, Ill.
The second of three children, Mildred grew up on a large homestead farm where her father, among other things, raised 16 Belgian horses. During her younger years, Eureka was the Pumpkin Center of the World where she worked at the Libby, McNeill and Libby canning factory.
Mildred grew up attending church and was a member of Roanoke Mennonite Church where she was baptized.
She married John Z. Friesen Feb. 9, 1950. Prior to their marriage, John spent three years in China with Mennonite Central Committee.
John and Mildred had four children: Jay, Howard, Gwen, and Rachel. John was killed in a car accident April 23, 1957. His wish for their children was that they have the opportunity to attend a Christian high school. Since there were no local schools available to attend, John always told Mildred God would provide a way. Mildred moved her family to Goshen so they could attend Bethany Christian High School.
Mildred found employment at Covercraft as a seamstress. She also served as a Red Coat Volunteer at Goshen Hospital for 22 years, along with volunteering once a month for 30 years at The Depot. Since arriving in Goshen in 1965, Mildred has been an active member of East Goshen Mennonite Church.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Irma Noe.
Mildred is survived by her four children: Jay Friesen, Ft.Wayne; Howard (Maribeth Diener) Friesen, Goshen; Gwen (Tim) Hershberger, Goshen; and Rachel (Tim) Strombeck, Kalamazoo, Mich.; a brother, Lester (Barbara) Garber, Bloomington, Ill.; 13 cherished grandchildren; and 8 adored great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Friday, Aug. 19 at Yoder-Culp Funeral Home from 5:30-8 p.m. and on Saturday, Aug. 20 beginning at 10:30 a.m. prior to the 11 a.m. Celebration of Life service at East Goshen Mennonite Church.

SHIPSHEWANA — Andrew “Andy” W. Fry, 80, of Shipshewana, died Sunday, Nov. 6.
He was born Oct. 31, 1936, to Willie and Mary (Miller) Fry.
He married Barbara Kinsinger; she survives.
Survivors also are daughters Loretta Fry, Rose Eash, Deloris (Joe) Clark, Mary (Darren) Griffith and Barbara LaBarge; son Glenn Fry; 21 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters Wilma Hochstetler, Lydia Riehl and Katie (Dan) Schwartz.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Dannie Fry; two brothers, Olen and Emery Fry; sister Doris Hochstetler; and son-in-law Homer Eash.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 S. Main St., Middlebury.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, at New Life Christian Center, 15685 S. R. 120, Bristol.
Burial will be in Grace Lawn Cemetery, Middlebury.
Memorials may be given to New Life Christian Center.
